Get the best handling rear suspension for your Classic 65-70 Mustang with the Heidts PRO-G Independent Rear Suspension System. This high performance designed suspension will handle Approx. 500HP. This kit is designed to fit larger Section Width Tires! The wheelhouses are approximately 2" wider than stock. See Below for all the details. NOTE: Not designed for drag racing! This suspension is designed more for handling and Pro Touring style driving and NOT Straight Line racing and hard launches.

Do you really want to go fast and out-handle everyone else on the autocross or road course in your first generation Mustang? Full independent rear suspension is the only way to go. Heidts Hot Rod & Muscle Car Parts now has a High Horsepower Independent Rear Suspension Package that will do the job!
By the way, did we mention that the Heidts IRS was awarded the winner of the prestigious "Best Product" Innovation Award at the 2011 Hotrod & Restoration Show.
It is a true high horsepower package, with upper links and heavy duty CV joints. The upper link produces - .5 Degrees of camber curve at 3/4 of bump, especially during very high cornering loads. Forward struts, attached to the sub-frame connectors insure the wheels stay in place during hard acceleration.

**Please Note: We have two options for track with on this kit: 56 Inches OR 58 Inches Hub-to-Hub. We recommend 56 inches
The coil-over shocks includes in the kit will enable you to lower the car 2-3 inches from stock.**

IMPORTANT NOTE: THIS KIT IS NOT INTENDED FOR DRAG RACING!!! We do not recommend high performance/sticky drag racing tires or hard launches with this rear-end suspension design! It is designed more for Pro-Touring and NOT For the drag strip or straight line racing. Hard launches with wide Drag style tires will produce wheel hop and undesirable results! If you are looking for hard launches a different suspension design for drag racing, would be a better option.

Technical Notes

PLEASE NOTE: The install of this kit is not for the novice. It includes welding in the new frame section into place and new wheelhouses. If you have any specific questions about the installation, please call to speak to someone in technical support.
