64 - 67 Early Mustang Manual Steering Box, 20:1 Ratio

This manual steering box features an original 20:1 ratio, which is ideal for manual steering cars. The slower ratio helps reduce the effort needed to turn the steering wheel, especially at low speeds and when stationary.

The direct bolt-in design requires no modifications and has no core charge. Scott Drake's 1964-1967 steering boxes boast an exclusive solid shaft design, just like the original units. After over 50 years of use, many of these boxes are worn out and cannot be rebuilt.

Our new steering boxes feature an improved needle bearing design for smoother operation. They effectively eliminate play in the steering wheel, reduce hesitation and wandering, and enhance high-speed tracking, providing an overall improved sense of control.

Please note: These boxes are compatible only with early 1967 models that have a 1" sector shaft and a long full-length steering shaft.
